Yes, it may still be nice enough out to enjoy the beach in October! There are 3 beaches that are easily accissible from the city without a car. Furthest south, right next to the neighborhood El Cabanyal, is Playa Arenas, the busiest beach. Walking north along Las Arenas Beach will lead you to the calmer Playa de la Malvarrosa. Walking further north, finally you will come upon the Playa de la Patacona, the quietest of the three options.
